QUALITY APPROACH OF TOURIST AND CULTURAL SITES IN THE CENTRE-VAL DE LOIRE REGION

The quality scheme "Quality of tourist and cultural sites in the Centre-Val de Loire region" has existed since 2008. Led by the Touraine Tourist Agency, the quality approach aims to support tourist attractions in the continuous improvement of their service, by respecting a quality benchmark (230 criterions).

Quality commitments of tourist sites

In 2024, more than 70 tourist sites are involved in the process.
They undertake to:

Before the visit:
  • Deliver complete and accurate information;
  • Have visible and effective access signage;
  • Provide an easy and signposted parking solution;
  • Enhance the surroundings of their establishment.
During the visit:
  • Offer a place to visit and clean and maintained equipment;
  • Have an available and attentive staff;
  • Achieve an efficient and courteous welcome;
  • Present complementary services adapted to customer expectations;
  • Present at least 3 different animations/events per year;
  • Propose a visit offer adapted to foreign customers;
  • Provide precise and adapted mediation tools;
  • Taking action for sustainable tourism.

An approach that can lead to "Qualité Tourisme™"

The quality benchmark has been recognized as complying with the requirements of the State mark "Qualité Tourisme™". Establishments that meet the requirements can claim to get the mark. In 2024, 26 tourist attractions are "Qualité Tourisme™"
